Louisville, Ky. (February 1, 2024) - The Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center will host their largest indoor track meet so far this season on Saturday when the Louisville Sports Commission's Louisville Indoor Games returns. Approximately 1,600 athletes are registered to compete, making it the second largest single-day meet in the venue's history (the 2023 President's Day Meet was the largest in venue history).

Bellarmine University will also host the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday, February 2 and JCPS Middle School Mondays return on Monday, February 5 for a full weekend of action on the track. More than 2,500 athletes are expected to participate in all three meets. 

The weekend includes:
Friday, February 2, 2024 - PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic - Public doors open at 9 am. Meet begins at 10 am
Saturday, February 3, 2024 - Louisville Indoor Games - Public doors open at 8 am. Meet begins at 9 am
Monday, February 5, 2024 - JCPS Middle School Mondays - Public doors open at 3:30 pm. Meet runs 4:30-7:30 pm 

A number of records are expected to be broken as some of the top athletes from 11 states compete at The Louisville Indoor Games Saturday. Some of the toughest competition can be seen in multiple events, most notably the boy's pole vault, which has several of the nation's top vaulters entered.
 

“Now in its fourth year, the Louisville Indoor Games continue to generate extensive interest from track and field coaches and athletes across the region,” said Louisville Sports Commission President & CEO Greg Fante. “We are excited to be able to host this event at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center – a world-class facility in West Louisville. Plus, the Indoor Games are a great way for the Sports Commission to kick off our 2024 owned and operated events.”

The venue has seen growth in athlete participation each week this indoor season, and the Bellarmine Classic is no different. Bellarmine University Head Track & Field Coach Chase Broughton said this weekend's meet has surpassed the previous two years with 24 teams and approximately 750 athletes expected to compete Friday. 

“We are looking forward to hosting the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday, said Broughton. "This is our third year doing this meet and it has grown every single year into one of the most competitive meets in the region. Friday will be a great showcase of our program and the amazing facility that we are blessed to be competing in.”


Additionally, JCPS Middle School Monday's returns on February 5 for it's second meet this season and several hundred local middle school athletes are expected to compete. Jefferson County Public Schools will host Middle School Mondays each week through March 4.
