Louisville, Ky. (November 20, 2023) - The Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center is proud to announce the facility will host the first-ever Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA)-sanctioned indoor track and field state championship event in March 2024, a move made by an official KHSAA vote earlier this year. 

"We are proud to be the 12th state reporting to the National Federation of State High School Associations to have a sanctioned state Indoor Track championship and are excited to partner with the ASM Global-managed Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center to make it happen," said KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett. "We are confident that this is the beginning of a long partnership that will continue to allow our student athletes a fantastic high school experience. We thank the well-oiled machine of our coaches association for executing a successful event there in the past and setting a high bar for our next official state championship in early March 2024."

The 2023-24 indoor track season kicks off on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the NortonHealthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville with the KTCCCA College Opener. Meet producers expect the to be the most successful season since the facility first opened in 2021. Not only will the venue host the newly sanctioned KHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, the calendar is booked solid with a record-breaking number of indoor track meets, From local high school and youth events, to regional college meets and national championship events.

"We are excited for year three of our Eastern Indoors event, which brings in top athletes and teams from all over the region, and the official sanctioning of Indoor Track by the KHSAA and Indoor Track and Field State Championship at the Norton Center. This facility continues to foster growth from our athletes, teams, and the sport as a whole in both the city of Louisville and state of Kentucky, as well as a positive impact on the West Louisville community.”
