Louisville, Ky. (February 21, 2023) -  Preparations are underway for the 2023 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships being hosted from February 23-25, 2023 at the ASM Global-managed Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Ky.

This is the first time the Cardinals have hosted the ACC Championships since joining the conference in 2015 and it's the first time the event has ever been held in Louisville. All fifteen ACC schools should be represented at the conference championship, and the event is expected to draw 1,000 athletes in addition to coaches and support staff and approximately 2,000 spectators per day. The event is expected to bolster the local economy with new revenue as the estimated economic impact of the event is $2.2 million.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES
Media are invited to the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center for multiple interview and photo opportunities.

  • Tuesday, February 21 - Beginning at 1 pm Tuesday, February 21, media are invited to get shots of final setup and preparations for the event and interviews with University of Louisville track and field coaches and athletes, Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center Assistant General Manager Marcus McAlpin and Louisville Sports Commission CEO Greg Fante. UL interviews can be arranged in advance. Media are welcome to stop by between 1-3 pm for interviews with venue and Sports Commission personnel. 
  • Wednesday, February 22 - On Wednesday, February 22, media are invited to get footage of team practices in addition to athlete and coach interviews from participating ACC teams. A full practice schedule is included in the graphic below or available here. Advance scheduling of interviews is recommended and team Sports Information Director contact information is available upon request.
  • Thursday, February 23 - Saturday, February 25 - Media wishing to request credentials to cover the ACC Championships on Thursday, February 23 through Saturday, February 25 can submit an advance request.

The ACC Indoor Track & Field Championship will feature several highly ranked collegiate athletes and should see a number of the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center college records challenged.
